     Mark Morse was born circa 1747 at Falmouth (now Portland), Cumberland County, Maine.1,2 He was the son of Deacon Anthony Moss and Hannah Merrill. Markmoved to New Boston (now Gray), Cumberland County, Maine, in 1767.2 Mark served in the Revolution.1 Mark and Sarah Sweetser filed marriage intentions on 2 August 1777 at North Yarmouth, Cumberland County, Maine.3

He was listed as the owner of a pew in the First Church of Gray in 1803.4 Mark Morse died in 1826 at Gray, Cumberland County, Maine.1
