Private Samuel Mayo was born on 4 July 1758 at Roxbury, Suffolk County, Massachusetts.1,2 He was the son of Major Joseph Mayo and Esther Kenrick. He served in as a private in Captain William Draper's 2ed Roxbury Company, in Col. William Heath's Regiment during the Revolutionary War.1 Private Samuel Mayo died on 15 September 1775 at Roxbury, Suffolk County, Massachusetts, at age 17.1,3
