     Ebenezer Goddard was born on 19 September 1753 at Petersham, Massachusetts.1,2,3,4 He was the son of Nathan Goddard and Dorothy Stevens.

Ebenezer Goddard married Ann Woodward, daughter of Jonathan Woodward and Mary Brown, in 1776.

Ebenezer Goddard died on 1 January 1803 at Orange, Massachusetts, at age 49.1,4 He was buried at North Orange Cemetery, Orange, Massachusetts. Ebenezer's epitaph reads:

in his 50th year.5
