     Asa Goddard was born on 26 August 1755 at Petersham, Massachusetts.1,2,3 He was the son of Nathan Goddard and Dorothy Stevens.

Asa Goddard, age 24, married Lucy Goddard, age 19 , daughter of David Goddard and Margaret Stone, on 2 November 1779 at Athol, Massachusetts.

Children:
Asa and Lucy were first cousins.4,1

Asa Goddard, age 45, married Mary Tyler, daughter of Rufus Tyler, on 18 August 1801 at Orange, Massachusetts.
