     David Johnson was born on 4 June 1701 at Guilford, Connecticut.1,2 He was the son of Deacon Samuel Johnson and Mary Sage.1

David Johnson, age 24, married Ruth Gaylord, age 12 on 19 April 1726 at Durham, Connecticut.

2. David Johnson (1730-1820)
3. Mary Johnson (1733-1812.)1


He served in the Connecticut First Regiment during the French and Indian War.3 He served as a corporal in Captain Abraham Stanley's company, Col. Thaddeus' Regiment. Pay Abstract for horse travel in two alarms during July 1779.4 David, appeared on the US Census of 1790 at Union, Union County, South Carolina. The enumeration reads:

1- Free White Persons - Males - Under 16
1- Free White Persons - Males - 16 and over
3- Free White Persons - Females
5- Number of Household Members.5


He died in 1801 at South Carolina.1
