     Peter Pangborn was born in 1641 at Oxford, Oxfordshire, England.1,2,3 He was the son of David Pangborn and Margaret Lester.1 Peter Pangborn immigrated in 1666 to America with a group of British Soldiers under the command of a Captain Leisler.3

Peter Pangborn married Grace Fifoe, daughter of Richard Fifoe and Hannah ______.2,3 In the Newtown New York Records is the following entry:
peter pangburn: testifyeth that he did heare John sandars say that he would Give John Cops stafe twenty fower shillings in Monny and ten Yards of osenbridg: for to make him a hors Cart & wheales with in three weeks: the wih was don withIn the time: and the sd sandars did promise his pay shuld be red: James Stan Clift testifyeth to the vove dispoistion and Charged the Copstafe to Gitt it Redy by that time & further saith not.4


Peter was a cordwinder (shoe maker.)3 On Aug. 25, 1676 he was appointed Currier.3 In 1682, he was appointed a Sealer of Leather.3 Peter lived on 10 May 1682 at Oyster Bay, Nassau County, New York.3 During 1689 he was listed as a soldier defending Fort New York. His age was given as 48 years.3 He died in 1697 at Nassau County, New York.1,2,3
