     Ruth Hardy was born on 15 June 1699 at Bradford, Essex County, Massachusetts.1,2 She was the daughter of Jacob Hardy and Lydia Eaton.

Ruth Hardy, age 19, married Samuel Jewett, age 24 , son of Francis Jewett and Sarah Hardy, on 23 October 1718 at Bradford, Essex County, Massachusetts.3,2,4 Ruth Hardy was mentioned in the will of Samuel Jewett on 18 July 1752 at Hollis, Hillsborough County, New Hampshire.5 Ruth Hardy died on 13 August 1757 at Hollis, Hillsborough County, New Hampshire, at age 58.1,6 She was buried at Congregational Church Cemetery, Hollis, Hillsborough County, New Hampshire. Ruth's epitaph reads:

Here lies the Body
of Mrs. Ruth Jewet the
widow of Mr. Samuel
Jewet who departed
this life August the 13th
Ano. Dom. 1757. in the
59 Year of her Age.1
