Gravestone of Francis Jewett
     Francis Jewett was born on 15 March 1664/65 at Rowley, Massachusetts. His birth record reads "Francis the sonn of Ezekiel Jewet borne ye fifteenth. 1664."1,2,3,4 He was the son of Deacon Ezekiel Jewett and Faith Parratt.1 He was dismissed from the Rowley Church to the Bradford Church 19 June 1692.1,5

Francis Jewett, age 28, married Sarah Hardy, age 21 , daughter of John Hardy and ______ Mary Jackman, on 20 June 1693 at Bradford, Massachusetts.1,2,6,3,7,8 When the new town of Bradford was established, the church was organized on 7 June 1727, and Francis was a member.9,5 Francis wrote his will on 18 September 1751 at Bradford, Massachusetts.1 He died on 19 September 1751 at Bradford, Massachusetts, at age 86.2,7,3 He was buried at Riverside Cemetery, Groveland, Massachusetts. Francis's epitaph reads:
