Francis Jewett was born on 15 March 1664/65 at Rowley, Essex County, Massachusetts. His birth record reads "Francis the sonn of Ezekiel Jewet borne ye fifteenth. 1664."1,2,3,4 He was the son of Deacon Ezekiel Jewett and Faith Parratt.1 He was dismissed from the Rowley Church to the Bradford Church 19 June 1692.1,5
Francis Jewett, age 28, married Sarah Hardy, age 21 , daughter of John Hardy and (?) Mary Jackman, on 20 June 1693 at Bradford, Essex County, Massachusetts.1,2,6,3,7,8 When the new town of Bradford was established, the church was organized on 7 June 1727, and Francis was a member.9,5 Francis wrote his will on 18 September 1751 at Bradford, Essex County, Massachusetts.1 He died on 19 September 1751 at Bradford, Essex County, Massachusetts, at age 86.2,7,3 He was buried at Riverside Cemetery, Groveland, Essex County, Massachusetts. Francis's epitaph reads:
