In the 1686 US Census, Madeleine was recorded, age 4, living in Port-Royal, Acadia, New France.2 In the 1693 Census, Madeleine was recorded, age 11, living in the household of Pierre Gaudet dit l'ainé and Anne Blanchard at Port-Royal, Acadia, New France. She is listed as a twin; The family owned 3 guns and was living on 20 arpents of cultivable land with 10 cattle, 12 sheep, and 10 pigs.3 In the 1698 US Census, Madeleine was recorded, age 16, living in Beaubassin, Acadia, New France.2 In the 1700 US Census, Madeleine was recorded, age 18, living in Beaubassin, Acadia, New France.2

Madeleine Gaudet married Michel Caissie dit Roger, son of Roger Caissie and Marie-Françoise Poirier, circa 1706.
