Joseph Amireau was born on 8 December 1689 at Cap-Sable, Acadia, New France.1 He was the son of François Amireau dit Tourangeau and Marie Pitre.1 Joseph Amireau was christened on 23 May 1705 at Port-Royal, Acadia, New France.1 In the 1708 US Census, Joseph was recorded, age 19, living in Cap-Sable, Acadia, New France.1
Joseph Amireau, age 28, married Marguerite Lord, daughter of Julien Lord dit Lamontagne and Anne-Charlotte Girouard, on 31 January 1718 at Annapolis Royal, Colony of Nova Scotia, British North America.1 Joseph was known to be living in 1763 at Connecticut.1 He died on 22 May 1774 at Saint-Sulpice, Québec, British North America, at age 84.1 He was buried on 23 May 1774 at Saint-Sulpice, Québec, British North America.1
