Joseph Amireau was born on 8 December 1689 at Cap-Sable, Acadia, New France.1 He was the son of François Amireau dit Tourangeau and Marie Pitre.1 Joseph Amireau was christened on 23 May 1705 at Port-Royal, Acadia.1 In the 1708 Census, Joseph was recorded, age 19, living in Cap-Sable, Acadia, New France.1
Joseph Amireau, age 28, married Marguerite Lord, daughter of Julien Lord and Anne-Charlotte Girouard, on 31 January 1718 at Port-Royal, Acadia.1
Joseph was known to be living in 1763 at Connecticut.1 He died on 22 May 1774 at Saint-Sulpice, Québec, Canada, at age 84.1 He was buried on 23 May 1774 at Saint-Sulpice, Québec, Canada.1
