     Marie-Anne Gaudet was born circa 1736 at Beaubassin, Colony of Nova Scotia, British North America.1,2 She was the daughter of Augustin Gaudet and Agnès Chiasson. Marie-Anne Gaudet went by the nick-name of Nannette Gaudet.2

Marie-Anne Gaudet married Pierre Cormier, son of Pierre Cormier dit Palette and Cécile Thibodeau, in 1755.1,2 Marie-Anne and Pierre Cormier were known to be living between 1761 and 1764 at L'Islet, Québec, New France.2 About 1765 Pierrot and Nanette returned to Sainte-Anne with their children, Pierrot's mother, and his four brothers.2 Marie-Anne Gaudet died after 2 October 1770 at Memramcook, Colony of Nova Scotia (now New Brunswick), which was the the birth date of her youngest son Ignace (Isaac), who was born in Rivière St-Jean.1,2
