     Charles Edward O'Brien Jr. was born on 15 March 1933 at Dana, Massachusetts.2,3,4,1,5 He was the son of Charles E. O'Brien and Marion Kidder.1 Charles Edward O'Brien Jr. went by the nick-name of Obie. He served in the United States Navy during the Korean Conflict before being Honorably discharged.1 Charles lived in 2007 at Athol, Massachusetts, At the time of his death.5,1 He died on 23 May 2007 at Athol, Massachusetts, at age 74.3,1,6,5 Charles's obituary of 28 May 2007, reads:

ATHOL- The sun has set on the life of Charles Edward "Obie" O'Brien Jr., 74, of 93 Froman Street, May 23, 2007. He leaves his loving wife, Beverly Burnett, whom he adored, and his children, Curtis O'Brien of Florida, Lori O'Brien Heglin of Ashburnham, Glen Boudreau of Florida, Brenda Boudreau Wolff of Arizona, Jane-Ellen Boudreau Spofford of Oregon, Paul Boudreau of Massachusetts, and Jody Boudreau Roy of West Virginia; nineteen grandchildren; ten great grandchildren; brothers, Russell "Rusty" O'Brien of Worcester and Dennis O'Brien of Baldwinville; and a sister, Shirley Bailey of New Hampshire. Charles loved his children more then words could ever convey. "Obie" also leaves a countless number of children he drove to and from school and sporting and music events he joyfully and safely drove for over 40 years. "Obie" was born on March 15, 1933 in the former Quabbin town of Dana and was a son of Charles E. and Marion Kidder O'Brien. He served in the United States Navy during the Korean Conflict before being Honorably discharged. Charles also had worked at the Erving Paper Mill for 30 years. He was married to Beverly on June 25, 1977 and have enjoyed the past 30 years together. The sun has now risen on his eternal glory. Calling hours will be held Saturday morning, May 26, 2007 from 9-11AM at Witty's Funeral Home, 158 South Main Street, Orange. In lieu of flowers, the family encourages donations to the Jimmy Fund, c/o Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, 10 Brookline Place, 6th floor, Brookline, MA 02445-7226. A committial service will be held on Tuesday afternoon, May 29, 2007 at 2:00PM in the Massachusetts Veterans' Memorial Cemetery, 111 Glenallen Street, Winchendon, MA The Rev. David Holroyd of St. James Episcopal Church in Greenfield will officiate. A Celebration of Life service will be held on Wednesday morning, May 30, 2007 at 11:00AM at St. James Episcopal Church, 8 Church Street, Greenfield with Rev. Holroyd officiating. Witty's Funeral Home, 158 South Main Street, Orange, is directing the arrangements.
