Marie-Anne Haché dite Gallant was born on 20 April 1739 at Port-LaJoie, Île Saint-Jean (now Prince Edward's Island), New France.1 She was the daughter of Pierre Haché dit Gallant and Cécile Lavergne.1

Marie-Anne married second on 3 June 1760 at Paramé, Ille-et-Vilaine, Brittany, France, Paul Caissie, the son of Jean Caissie and Cécile Hébert. He was born about 1731 in Beauséjour, Acadia, and died 9 October 1763 in St. Malo, Ille-et-Vilaine, Brittany, France. He was first married to Marguerite Cyr in 1756, and thirdly to Françoise Cadieux in 1763.
She died on 22 August 1762 at Paramé, Ille-et-Vilaine, Brittany, France, at age 23.2
