     François Grosvalet was born in 1700 at Cap-Sable, Acadia, New France.1 He was the son of Jean-Bertrand Grosvalet and Françoise Binard.1

François Grosvalet married Madeleine Doucet, age 30 , daughter of Claude Doucet dit Maître Jean and Marie Comeau, on 6 February 1743 at Annapolis Royal, Colony of Nova Scotia. They had no children together.1
