Joseph Aucoin was born circa 1698 at Acadia, New France.3,2 He was the son of Martin Aucoin and Marie Gaudet.2
Joseph Aucoin married Anne Trahan, daughter of Jean-Charles Trahan and Marie Boudrot, circa 1720 at Cobéquid, Colony of Nova Scotia, British North America.3,2 Joseph was found on a passenger list arriving in Saint-Malo, Ille-et-Vilaine, Brittany, France, in 1763.2 He died on 25 May 1769 at Plouër-sur-Rance, Côtes-d'Armor, Brittany, France.3,2 He was buried on 26 May 1769 at Plouër-sur-Rance, Côtes-d'Armor, Brittany, France.2
