Augustin Deveau was born in 1743 at Beaubassin, Colony of Nova Scotia, British North America.1 He was the son of Charlemagne Deveau dit Charles and Anne Doucet.1
Augustin Deveau married Jeanne-Rosalie Richard, daughter of Alexandre Richard and Marie-Magdelaine Thibodeau, on 7 October 1771 at D'Escousse, Isle Madame, Nova Scotia, Canada.
Augustin married second before 1812 Marie Poirier, the daughter of Simon Poirier and Marie Bois. She was born about 1775 and died about January 1882.
He died on 9 January 1843 at Chéticamp, Nova Scotia, Canada.1
