     Joseph Richard was born circa 1703 at Acadia, New France.1 He was the son of Martin Richard and Marguerite Bourg.1

Joseph Richard married Marie-Josèphe Comeau dite GrandJehan, daughter of Joseph Comeau and Marie Roy Laliberté, circa 1732 at the Beaubassin, Colony of Nova Scotia, British North America.
