Joseph-Marie Granger was born on 16 October 1737 at Grand-Pré, Colony of Nova Scotia, British North America.1 He was the son of Joseph Granger and Marguerite Thériault.1
Joseph-Marie Granger, age 25, married Marie-Joseph Cyr, age 23 , daughter of Jean-Jacques Cyr and Marie-Josèphe Hébert, on 30 June 1763 at Saint-Servan, Ille-et-Vilaine, Brittany, France.
Joseph-Marie married second on 13 February 1776 at Saint-Servan, Ille-et-Vilaine, Brittany, France, Anne-Josèphe Thériot, the daugher of François Thériot and Françoise Guerin. She was born n 1748 in Cobequid, Acadia and died in 1822 in Louisiana. She had been previously married to Pierre Landry.1 He died in August 1785 at Vilaine, Yonne, Bourgogne-Franche-Comté, France, at age 47.1
