     Joseph Landry was born on 10 July 1717 at St-Charles-des-Mines Parish, Grand-Pré, Colony of Nova Scotia.1 He was the son of Jean-Baptiste Landry and Marguerite Gautrot.1

Joseph Landry married Marie-Marguerite Breau, daughter of Alexandre Breau and Marie Dugas, in 1737 at Colony of Nova Scotia.1
