François Testard was born circa 1684 at Beaumont, Puy-de-Dôme, Auvergne-Rhône-Alpe, France.1 He was the son of Jean Testard and Jeanne Vignier.1
François Testard married Marie Doiron, daughter of Jean Doiron and Marie-Anne Canol, on 22 November 1706 at Port-Royal, Acadia, New France.1 François and Marie appeared on the Census of 1724 at Île Royale (now Cape Breton), Colony of Nova Scotia, British North America. They had 2 boys over 15, and 3 girls .1 François Testard died in 1726 at Port-Toulouse, Île Royale (now Cape Breton), Acadia, New France, He must have passed away around the time of the 1726 census of Île Royale, because he was listed in the census but then a second entry was also made for his widow.1
