Jean-Baptiste married second in 1759 Élisabeth Dugas, the daughter of Claude Dugas and Anne Hébert. She was born in 1741 in the Colony of Nova Scotia and died in December 1787 in Attakapas, Louisiana, New Spain.
He died circa October 1787 at St. Martinville, St. Martin Parish, Louisiana, New Spain.1
