Marie-Josèphe Bourg was born on 16 June 1711 at Grand-Pré, Acadia, New France.1 She was the daughter of Alexandre Bourg dit Bellehumeur and Marguerite Melanson.1

Marie-Josèphe Bourg died on 5 September 1792 at Donaldsonville, Ascension Parish, Louisiana, New Spain, at age 81.1
