     Marie-Josèphe Pinet was born circa 1729 at Port-Toulouse, Île Royale (now Cape Breton), Acadia, New France.1 She was the daughter of Charles Pinet dit Lejeune and Marie-Louise Testard.1 In the 1752 Census, Marie-Josèphe was recorded, age 23, living in the household of Pierre Daigre and Marie-Louise Testard at Port-Toulouse, Île Royale (now Cape Breton), Colony of Nova Scotia.1
