     Pierre Pinet was born on 2 April 1740 at Louisbourg, Île Royale (now Cape Breton), Acadia, New France.1 He was the son of Charles Pinet dit Lejeune and Marie-Louise Testard.1 In the 1752 Census, Pierre was recorded, age 12, living in the household of Pierre Daigre and Marie-Louise Testard at Port-Toulouse, Île Royale (now Cape Breton), Colony of Nova Scotia.1
