     Philippe Doiron was born circa 1682 at Pisiguit, Acadia, New France.1 He was the son of Jean Doiron and Marie-Anne Canol.1 In the 1693 Census, Philippe was recorded, age 9, living in the household of Jean Doiron and Marie Trahan at Les Mines, Acadia, New France; 42.1

Philippe Doiron married Marie-Josèphe Guédry, daughter of Claude Guédry dit Laverdure and Marguerite Petitpas, in 1715 at Port-Toulouse, Île Royale (now Cape Breton), Acadia, New France.
