Gravestone of Capt. Ebenezer and Martha (Emery) Lord
     Captain Ebenezer Lord was born in 1719 at Berwick, Maine.2 He was the son of Captain Samuel Lord and Martha Wentworth.2 Captain Ebenezer Lord was christened on 23 August 1719 at the First Chruch of Berwick, Berwick, Maine.2

Captain Ebenezer Lord married Martha Emery, age 22 , daughter of Simon Emery and Martha Lord, on 22 October 1748 at Kittery, Maine.2

Captain Ebenezer Lord married Jane Hight, age 37 , daughter of William Hight and Elizabeth Walton, in May 1773 at Berwick, Maine.2,3,4 Captain Ebenezer Lord died on 19 February 1811 at Lebanon, Maine.2,5,4 He was buried at Lords Cemetery, Berwick, Maine. Ebenezer's epitaph reads:

'Elder' EBENEZER LORD
died 1811
age 91 years.2




Compeller's Notes:
Acording to the Newspaper Extractions from the Northeast, he died on 18 March 1812 as does the extract from the town records. I am using the date on his gravestone. The town record is a copy of and old record of a death form. Not sure if it was taken from the original records or an index.5
