Edward Doten was born on 7 October 1716 at Plymouth, Massachusetts.2,1 He was the son of Elisha Doty and Hannah Horton.1 Edward Doten and Phebe Finney filed marriage intentions on 8 July 1738 at Plymouth, Massachusetts.1
Edward Doten, age 21, married Phebe Finney, age 13 , daughter of John Finney and Sarah Bartlett, on 3 August 1738 at Plymouth, Massachusetts.3,2
Edward was a mariner.2 Edwardmoved to Colony of Nova Scotia, British North America, circa 1757. There he lived for several years, before retuning to Plymouth.2 He died in 1775 at Plymouth, Massachusetts.
