Elihu Lancaster was born on 1 May 1734 at Methuen, Massachusetts.1,2 He was the son of Daniel Lancaster and Dameris Gould.1 He was an early settler of the Kennebec Purshase region along with his father and brothers.2 In 1757, he was a member of the first militia company of Georgetown, Maine.2
Elihu Lancaster married Mary Bubier.2 He was on the first tax list of Woolwich, Maine and was taxed there as late as 1778.2 In 1774, he bought land in Winslow, Maine and ten years later was a petitioner from Penobscot.2 Elihu Lancaster died on 31 July 1826 at Woolwich, Maine, at age 92.
