Joseph Lancaster was born on 25 December 1731 at Methuen, Massachusetts.1,2 He was the son of Daniel Lancaster and Dameris Gould.1
Joseph Lancaster, age 24, married Hannah Bubier on 30 April 1756.2 He was a private in Capt. Israel Davis' Company, Col Joseph Fry's Regiment. He marked 4 March 1776 in defense of the seacoast and served until 31 May 1776.3 Joseph Lancaster died on 31 July 1826 at Woolwich, Maine, at age 94.3
