Oliver LeRoy dit Audy was born on 25 May 1669 at Église Saint-Joseph, Charlesbourg, Québec, New France.1,2,3 He was the son of Siméon LeRoy dit Audy and Claude Des Chalets.1 Oliver LeRoy dit Audy was christened on 30 May 1669 in the Basilique-cathédrale Notre-Dame de Québec, Québec City, Québec, New France.1,2,4,5,6,3 Oliver moved to Côte Saint-François, Montréal, Québec, New France, with his parents, Siméon and Claude LeRoy in 1679.6 Oliver immigrated with his family in 1682 to Albany; with their entire living family, execpting their son Jean, without the permission of the Province of New York.2,4,6 Oliver moved to Kingston, Province of New York, with his parents, Siméon and Claude LeRoy after 1686.2,6 All adult male residents of the Province of New York were required to an Oath of Alliegiance to the King. They oath included a renunciation of Catholic doctrine. Siméon, and his son Oliver were recorded as being absent.6 Oliver was known to be living in 1689in what is now Ulster County, Province of New York.2
