     Jean-Baptiste Lamy was christened on 29 July 1726 in the Ste-Anne Paroisse, Yamachiche, Québec, New France.1 He was the son of Étienne Lamy and Marguerite Blais.1

Jean-Baptiste Lamy, age 26, married Marie Berthiaume, age 18 , daughter of André Berthiaume and Marie-Anne ______, on 8 January 1753 at the Ste-Anne Paroisse, Yamachiche, Québec, New France.1

Jean-Baptiste married second on 18 August 1766 at Ste-Anne Paroisse, Yamachiche, Québec, British North America, Marie-Josèphe Gelinas, the daughter of Pierre Gelinas and Marie-Angélique Vacher. She was born and christened on 30 May 1747 at Ste-Anne Paroisse, Yamachiche, Québec, New France. She died 6 September 1786, and was buried the next day from St-Antoine-de-la-Rivière-du-Loup Paroisse, Louiseville, Québec, British North America.1 He died on 27 April 1798 at Louiseville, Lower Canada, British North America, at age 71.1 Jean-Baptiste was buried on 29 April 1798 at St-Antoine-de-la-Rivière-du-Loup Paroisse, Louiseville, Lower Canada, British North America.1
