Lorraine C Carey
     Lorraine Catherine Carey was born on 18 October 1919 at Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.3,4 She was the daughter of Bernard P. Carey and Catherine D. Higgins.2 Lorraine, age 4 months, appeared on the US Census of 1920 living at 3960 Aspen Street, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania,in the household of her parents, Bernard P. and Catherine D. Carey; and her maternal grandmother.5 Lorraine, age 10, appeared on the US Census of 1930 living at 5538 Whitby Avenue, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania,in the household of her parents, Bernard P. and Catherine D. Carey.6 In 1938, Lorraine graduated from West Catholic Girls High School, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.7 Lorraine, age 20, appeared on the US Census of 1940 living at 6346 Woodbine Avenue, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania,in the household of her parents, Bernard P. and Catherine D. Carey.8 As of 14 November 1942,her married name was Gallagher.1

Lorraine Catherine Carey, age 23, married Gerard Aloysius Gallagher, age 28 , son of Aloysius Francis Gallagher and Elizabeth Irene Hennessey, on 14 November 1942 at Church of Our Lady of Lourdes, Overbrook, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, by the Rev. Francis J. Carberry.1,9 Lorraine, age 30 years, and Gerard Gallagher, age 35 years, appeared on the US Census of 1950 at 527 Gainsboro Stree, Upper Darby Township, Delaware County, Pennsylvania.10

Lorraine married second before 7 January 1976 Clarence Wolf.3,7 She died on 8 April 2002 at West Chester, Chester County, 33Pennsylvania, at age 82.3,4,7 Lorraine's obituary of 10 April 2002, reads:

WOLF (GALLAGHER) LORRAINE (nee Carey), April 8, 2002, of West Chester PA, formerly of Drexel Hill, beloved wife of the late Gerard A. Gallagher and the late Clarence Wolf; beloved mother of Gerard A. Gallagher, Lorraine M. Meisenhelter, Candace M. Gallagher, Deborah M. Mazur and Gary S. Gallagher; also survived by 9 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren, 3 stepchildren, 6 step grandchildren, 5 step great grandchildren and one brother, Berard P. Carey. Friends and relatives are invited to Funeral Mass Fri., 1 1 A.M., Church of SS. Simon and Jude, Rtes. 3 and 352, Westtown, where friends may call after 10 A.M. Int. Calvary Cem. In her memory, contributions may be made to American Cancer Society or Little Sisters of the Poor, Phila. PA 19143.

Lorraine was buried on 12 April 2002 at Calvary Cemetery, West Conshohocken, Montgomery County, Pennsylvania.7
