Daniel Ferry was born in 1801 at Mt Pleasant, Westmoreland County, Pennsylvania.1 He was the son of Heinrich Ferry and Anna Margaretha Thomas.1
Daniel Ferry married Elizabeth Brindle, daughter of John George Brindle and Catherine Kuntz.

Daniel, age 49 years, and Elizabeth Ferry, age 45 years, appeared on the US Census of 1850 at Unity Township, Westmoreland County, Pennsylvania.3 According to the Federal Census in 1850, Daniel was a laborer.3 Daniel, age 69 years, appeared on the US Census of 1870 at Derry, Westmoreland County, Pennsylvania, living with his daughter, Margaret and her family.4 He died in 1870 at Westmoreland County, Pennsylvania.1
