     Joanna Salway was born in 1613 at Christian Malford, Wiltshire, England.1,2,3,4 She was the daughter of Aurthur Salway and Mary Searle.

Joanna Salway married Lt. Edward Woodman, son of Edward Woodman and Collet Mallet, circa 1628 at England.5,3,6,7,8,9 Joanna and Edward immigrated circa 1635 to Massachusetts.5 Joanna was known to be living on 9 November 1653 at Newbury, Massachusetts.5,10 Joanna and Edward joined the Church in Newbury in 1674.2 Joanna Salway died after 23 February 1687/88 at Newbury, Massachusetts.3,11,12,4 She was buried at Newbury Neck Cemetery, Newbury, Massachusetts.4
