Augustin Légère
Augustin Légère was born on 25 December 1873 at Paquetville, New Brunswick, Canada.1 He was the son of Dosithée Légère and Rose Haché. Augustin Légère was christened circa 1874 at Paquetville, New Brunswick, Canada, the first baby baptized in that new parish.1,2 Heappeared on the Canadian Census of 1881 in the household of Dosithée Légère and Rose Haché at Caraquet, New Brunswick, Canada.3 Augustin Légèreappeared on the Canadian Census of 1891 in the household of Dosithée Légère and Rose Haché at Caraquet, New Brunswick, Canada.4

Augustin Légère, age 23, married Geneviève Godin, age 22 , daughter of Pierre-Sévère Godin and Rose Pinet, on 13 July 1897 at Paquetville, New Brunswick, Canada. While the marriage registration gives the date 28 June 1897, both Chassion (1986) and Thériault (1985) give the date as 13 July 1897. The registration was filed after the fact by the parish priest and he simply made a mistake. The marriage records of he parish state 13 July 1897. I have chosen the date on the Parish Record.5,1,6,7 Augustin, age 27 years, and Geneviève, age 26 years , appeared on the Canadian Census of 1901 at Paquetville, New Brunswick, Canada. Augustin Légère died on 6 June 1904 at Paquetville, New Brunswick, Canada, at age 30.1,2
