     David I , King of the Scots was born circa 1080 at Scotland.1,2,3 He was the son of Malcolm III Canmore ~ King of the Scots and Saint Margaret of Scotland. King David introduced feudalism into Scotland thereby undermining Celtic common law. He also brought Normans into Scotland establishing them as feudal lords. In England, he was the Earl of Huntingdon.4,1

David I , King of the Scots married Maud of Huntingdon , Queen of Scotland, daughter of Waltheof II of Huntingdon, Northampton, and Northumberland and Judith of Lens, between 1113 and 1114.1,2,5 David was crowned on 22 April 1124 at Scone, Perthshire, Scotland.4,1,2 He died on 24 May 1154 at Carlisle, Cumberland, Scotland.1,2,3
