     George Burg was born in December 1890 at Pennsylvania.1 He was the son of Nicholas Burg and Katharina Schemel. George, age 9, appeared on the US Census of 1900 living at Ridge Road, Archbald, Lackawanna County, Pennsylvania,in the household of his parents, Nicholas and Katharina Burg.1 George Burgappeared on the US Census of 1920 in the household of Katharina Schemel at 204 Sauarence Street, Archbald, Lackawanna County, Pennsylvania.2 According to the census in 1920, George was a laborer in a coal mine.2
