Johann Schemel

     Johann Schemel was born on 8 February 1862 at Werbeln, Wadgassen, Saarland, Germany.1 He was the son of Jacob Schemel and Anna Rupp. Johann Schemel immigrated to the United States. He was naturalized before 1920.2 Heappeared on the US Census of 1920 in the household of Katharina Schemel at 204 Sauarence Street, Archbald, Lackawanna County, Pennsylvania.2 According to the census in 1920, Johann was a laborer in the braker industry.2 He died on 8 April 1924 at Archbald, Lackawanna County, Pennsylvania, at age 62.1
