     George W. Clark was born on 21 April 1877 at Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.1,2,3,4 He was the son of Andrew J. Clark and Margaret Tracy. George, age 3, appeared on the US Census of 1880 living at 1917 Cadwell Street, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania,in the household of his parents, Andrew J. and Margaret Clark.5 He was a veteran of the Spanish American War having enlisted 11 June 1898 and was discharged 25 October 1898. He served in Company B, 2ed Regiment, Pennsylvania Volunteers as a private.2,6

George W. Clark married Marie A. Mearns, daughter of John Mearns and Bridget Coan, in 1899 at Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.7,8 George W. Clark died on 6 May 1915 at Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, at age 38.1,2,3,4,9 George was buried on 10 May 1915 at Holy Cross Cemetery, Yeadon, Delaware County, Pennsylvania, in section M, range 3.6,9
