     Amauri III de Montfort Count d'Evreux was the son of Simon I de Montfort , Seigneur of Montfort l'Amauri and Agnes d'Évreux. Amauri III de Montfort's full titles were the Count d'Evreux and the Sire de Montfort l'Amaury.1

Amauri III de Montfort Count d'Evreux married Richeude de Hainault, daughter of Baldwin , Count of Hainault.2 In 1098, he joined with William II against his brother, but lost. In 1118 he claimed the countship, however Henry I denied him the countship. Amauri then led a revolt against the king. They were later reconciled by Theobald, Count of Champagne. In 1123, Amauri joined Waleran Count of Meulan in a revolt, where he was captured. His capture, William de Grandcourt, refused to surrender him, and joined him in exile. By the end of the year, he was again reconciled to the ki.2

Amauri III de Montfort Count d'Evreux married Agnes de Garlende, daughter of Anselm de Garlende and (name unknown) de Monthlhéry, after 1118.3 Amauri III de Montfort Count d'Evreux died on 18 April 1137 or 19 April 1137.2 He was buried at Abbey of Hautes-Bruyères, Saint-Remy-l'Honor, Île-de-France, France.2
