     Elizabeth de Monthlhéry was born circa 1040 at Montlhéry, Île-de-France, France.1,2 She was the daughter of Guy I de Monthlhéry ~ Seigneur de Montlhéry et Chevreuse and Saint Hodierne de Gometz ~ Dame de la Ferte. Elizabeth's name was also spelt Isabel.3

Elizabeth de Monthlhéry married Gauthier de St. Valery.2

Elizabeth de Monthlhéry married Joscelin de Courtenay ~ Seigneur de Courtenay and Château-Renard, son of Athon de Courtenay Sire de Courtenay in the Gatinais and of Château-Renard., circa 1065.4,2,3,5 After Joscelin’s death in 1095, Elizabeth became a nun at St. John’s.5 Elizabeth de Monthlhéry died in 1113.
