Floretta Ada Gladwin

     Floretta Ada Gladwin was born on 18 January 1890 at Cleveland, Cuyahoga County, Ohio.¹ She was the daughter of Stephen Cooper Gladwin and Ada Leona Copeland. Floretta Ada Gladwin went by the nick-name of Florence. Floretta, age 10, appeared on the US Census of 1900 living at 164 Ashdale Street, Cleveland, Cuyahoga County, Ohio,in the household of her parents, Stephen Cooper and Ada Leona Gladwin.¹ Floretta, age 20, appeared on the US Census of 1910 living at 10306 Columbia Avenue, Cleveland, Cuyahoga County, Ohio,in the household of her parents, Stephen Cooper and Ada Leona Gladwin.² According to the census in 1910, Floretta was a cheif telephone operator.²

Floretta Ada Gladwin, age 49, married Louis A. Brown, son of William T. Brown and Christine Pheiffer, on 24 June 1939 at the Cuyahoga County, Ohio. Floretta Ada Gladwin died on 30 October 1971 at age 81. Florence was buried at Lake View Cemetery, Cleveland, Ohio.
