William VII , Duke of Montpellier and Montferrier was born circa 1130.1 He was the son of William VI , Seigneur de Montpellier and Sibel de Vasto di Savona. He was also the Seigneur de Tortosa.1
William VII , Duke of Montpellier and Montferrier married Mathilda of Burgundy , Dame de Montferrier, daughter of Hugh II the Peaceful , Duke of Burgundy and Mathilda de Turenne, on 25 February 1157.1 William wrote his will on 20 September 1172.1 He died after May 1173.1 He was buried at Grandselve Abbey, Bouillac, France.1
