Charles I, first Angevin king of Naples and Sicily
     Charles I , King of Naples, Sicily and Jerusalem was born in 1220.1 He was the son of Louis VIII the Lion , King of France and Blanche of Castile , Princess of Castile, Queen of France. Charles I's full titles were the King of Naples, Sicily and Jerusalem; and the Count of Anjou, Provence, and Maine.2

Charles I , King of Naples, Sicily and Jerusalem married Beatrix of Savoy , Countess of Provence and Forcalquier, daughter of Raymond IV Berenger , Count of Provence and Forcalquier and Beatrix of Savoy , Countess of Provence, on 31 January 1246.2,1,3,4 Charles was crowned the King of Sicily on 6 January 1266.5 He died on 7 January 1285.2,1 He was buried at Naples, Italy.2
