Michel Bergeron dit d'Amboise was born circa 1700 at Port-Royal, Acadia, New France.1 He was the son of Barthélemy Bergeron dit d'Amboise and Geneviève Serreau de Saint-Aubin.1

Michel Bergeron dit d'Amboise married Marie Dugas, daughter of Abraham Dugas dit Grivois and Marie-Madeleine Landry, circa 1727 at Colony of Nova Scotia, British North America.1 In 1736, he accompanied his brother-in-law Joseph Godin dit Bellefontaine as a deputy from the Saint John Acadians to the Annapolis Royal Council. "They were imprisoned there by Governor Lawrence Armstrong for failing to report to the Council immediately, but they were soon released".1 In the 1736 Census, Michel was recorded living in Rivière Saint-Jean, Colony of Nova Scotia, British North America.1 In the 1739 Census, Michel was recorded living in Rivière Saint-Jean, Colony of Nova Scotia, British North America.1
