Dietrich II of Alsace ~ Duke of Upper Lorraine was born in 1060.1 He was the son of Gerhard IV ~ Comte d'Alsace et Chatenois, Duc de Haute Haute-Lorraine and Hedwig. Dietrich's name was also spelt Thierry or Theodoric.2
