     Alexios I Komnenos , Emperor of the East was born in 1048.1,2 He was the son of Iohannes Komnenus and Anna Dalassena Augusta.

Alexios I Komnenos , Emperor of the East married Irene Ducas Augusta, daughter of Andronicus Ducas and Maria of Bulgaria, in 1078.1,2 Alexios was crowned Emperor of the East (Basilius) in 1081.1,2 He died on 15 August 1118.1 He was buried at Monastery of Christ Philanthropos, Constantinople (now Istanbul), Empire of the East.2
