     James McFadden was born in 1701 at Garragh, County Londondarry, Ireland.1 He was the son of Andrew McFadden and Mary Mallory. James McFadden immigrated with Andrew McFadden and Jane Lindsey, his parents, in 1718 to Maine; on board the Maccallum. The settled at Somerset Point, Maine.1,2,3

James McFadden married Rebecca Pierce, daughter of George Pierce and Rebecca Wilbore, circa 1728 at Arrowsic Island, Maine.1,3,4 James McFadden died in 1754 at Georgetown, Maine.1,5 He was buried at First Baptist Church Cemetery, Georgetown, Maine.5
