     Malcolm I , King of Alba was born in 897 at Scotland.1,2 He was the son of Donald II of Alba , King of the Scots. Malcolm's name was also spelt Mael-Coluim.1,2 Malcolm was crowned the King of Alba in 943.3,4,1,2 He was a strong ruler.3 Malcolm was killed in battle in 954 at Fordoun, Aberdeenshire, Scotland, by the men of Moray.3,1,2
