William I Tete d'Etoupe , Count of Poitou was born circa 925.1 He was the son of Ebbles Mancer , Count of Poitou and Duke of Aquitaine and Emiliane. William I Tete d'Etoupe , Count of Poitou was also known as William II.
William I Tete d'Etoupe , Count of Poitou married Gerloc of Normandy, daughter of Rolf Ragnvaldsson , Duke of Normandy and Poppa de Bayeux, in 935.2,1 William became, in 955, the Count of Poitou.3 William became, in 959, the Duke of Aquitaine.3 William became, in 962, the Count of Auvergne.3 In later life, he became a monk.3 He died on 3 April 963.2,1
